“In the year that king Uzziah died, I saw also the Lord…” – Isa 6:1
That year was recorded in history as a tragic year. A king had died that year who had ruled for so many years, and he probably had a lot of sympathizers, and so every event that took place that year was said to have happened in the year that king Uzziah died. However tragic it must have been, for one person it was not. For Isaiah, he said, I saw also, which means in the midst of people feeling sad and moody because they felt a tragedy had struck, for him it was a time to see the Lord. It was his launch into a new era and the beginning of his ministry. He didn’t allow the tragedy of the year to determine what became of him.
A lot might be happening around you, but in the midst of it all, it’s what you see that matters. To some it might be a season of killings and bombings, choose to see life. To some it might be a season of falling, losses and downturns, choose to see increase and upliftment. Don’t allow what the media or horoscope has tagged the season, choose what you want to see. See God in it all. See things through His eyes, and what you see is what you will get.
